Lame was employed as a CNC machine operator at a factory near Turin until he was laid off in March 2020.
He is a practicing Muslim who abides by the Islamic faith. In October 2020, Khaby announced his engagement to Zaira Nucci.
He has lived in Italy since he was a year old and spoke Italian fluently.
Khaby was a Senegalese citizen living in Milan. In August 2022, he became an Italian citizen in Chivasso following the announcement from the Italian Undersecretary of the Ministry of the Interior.
