Chapter 5 of the Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Manga has helped the Boruto Manga not only overtake One Piece and JJK but also maintain the number one spot in the MangaPlus App.

Currently, Boruto Two Blue Vortex is the most popular manga in the world. Chainsaw Man Manga is in the second position, JuJutsu Kaisen in the third position, followed by One Piece in the fourth.

Given how popular and beloved One Piece is, it is really surprising to see the Boruto Manga surpass the colossal shonen giant.

That being said the story and plot progression in the recent Boruto Chapters are equally amazing, and the fanbase’s excitement could be a few of the deciding factors for Boruto Manga achieving this feat.

What Happened in Boruto Manga Chapter 5?

The Boruto Manga is heading in an exciting direction. Chapter 5 came with the highly anticipated time skip flashback reveal.

Not only did we get to see the time skip flashback between Sasuke and Boruto, but chapter 5 also blessed fans with a touching reunion of Boruto and Sarada.

We saw Sasuke training Boruto with the Hidden Uchiha Clan techniques. Boruto seems to be confident and feels like has has mastered the Jutsu Sasuke taught him.

The time skip flashback also reassures Sasuke’s trust in Boruto Uzumaki despite the uncertainties caused by Eida’s omnipotence at the beginning.

On the other hand, Code attacks Boruto and Sasuke with his Ten Tails army leading to a dramatic battle. Sasuke in the face of overwhelming odds, and not seeing a way out decided to sacrifice himself to buy time for Boruto.

Meanwhile, in Konohagakure, Moegi is trapped by the Shinju Clones, and everyone there mourns her fate. The Shinju express their desire to consume everything connected to them.

Amado revealed crucial information regarding the altered memories and also recognized his tech in Kawaki. Shikamaru became aware of Amado withholding information, suggesting a hidden motive/agenda.

Sumire reveals everything she learned about Amado to Sarada. Sarada while initially skeptical about all this, recalls her own experience with omnipotence.

In the midst of all this, Boruto teleports back to Konoha surprising everyone back there in the Hidden Leaf Village.

Upon seeing Boruto, Sarada immediately runs towards him embracing him emotionally. Boruto explains how her trust influenced Sasuke’s actions on Boruto.

Near the end of the chapter, we saw Shikamaru raising questions about Boruto, and seeking opinions regarding the whereabouts of Uchiha Sasuke. It seems clear that Shikamaru still doesn’t fully support Boruto.

The Two Blue Vortex Chapter 5 concludes with Sumire observing the heartfelt moment between Boruto and Sarada.
