The much anticipated third season of the Slime Anime is officially on its way, and there are some major surprises with it.
First and foremost, Season 3 is scheduled for April 2024 but there’s a catch. The third season will be divided into two-cores, meaning we are in for a double dose of Slime goodness.
To get us even more excited, the official production team has provided a stunning key visual and a thrilling teaser.
The key visual depicts a theme of battle. We have Rimuru’s team on one side, and Hinata’s on the other.
The teaser has a runtime of 42 seconds but it’s packed with action and suspense overall.
This short yet action-packed trailer features Rimurue, Hinata Sakaguchi, Benimary, and other major characters set to play a big role in the upcoming season.

The teaser sets up the battle between Rimuru and Hinata, and this will be the main focus of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 3.
Now moving on to the new opening theme song for Season 3, the legendary band Stereo Dive Foundation will be producing it. The theme song is titled Peacekeeper, and the single is set to be released in Japan in May 2024.
Further adding to the excitement, the 10th anniversary of the Anime is just around the corner, and a special program has been planned to commemorate this extraordinary milestone.
Nippon TV is set to air a special program to showcase the 10th anniversary of this Anime. According to the staff involved in the production, this program will make fans even more excited and impatient for the third season.
Therefore mark your calendars for January 30, 2024, for an epic celebration with fans all over the world.

Since there are two cores to cover, we expect the anime will likely catch up with the manga content quickly. The first 6 volumes of the light novel have already been adapted in Seasons 1 and 2 of the Slime Anime.
Assuming the two-core format with each core consisting of 12 episodes, we anticipate there will be a total of 24 episodes in Season 3 just like the first two seasons did. Hence, we expect Volumes 7,8, and 9 of the Light novel to be adapted throughout Season 3.

Slime Season 3 Cast
Season 3 will be directed by Atsushi Nakayama at 8Bit Studios. Toshizo Nemoto is the series composer, Ryoma Ebata is the head of character design, and Hitoshi Fujima is the music composer.
