Weekly Anime News Round-Up November 1-7

We are back again with another weekly anime news round-up.

This will include major announcements and events that occurred in the Anime and Manga industry during the first week of November.

Many new anime were announced, and some were provided with their release dates, and total number of episodes to be aired as well.

The news that took the Anime community by storm, however, is definitely the ending of Attack on Titan.

As all good things must come to an end, this masterpiece by Hajime Isayama has also now officially ended, both in Manga and Anime format.

While the Manga ended quite a while ago, the final episode of Attack on Titan Season 4 Part 3, which aired this Sunday, marked the official end of Anime.

More about Attack on Titan later…now without any delay, here are the major news and interesting announcements in the Anime Industry from Nov 1-7.

Spy x Family Code: White

The first movie of the Spy x Family Animanga, titled, “Spy x Family Code: White” is scheduled to air on December 2nd.

The production team also provided fans with the official trailer of the movie. Check the trailer below.

The movie will be adapted by the collaboration of two popular studios, Wit and Cloverworks.

Spy x Family by Tatsuya Endo is one of the beloved new-gen Anime and Manga. Currently, the second season of the Anime is airing.

Solo Leveling Anime Airs on January 2024

Solo Leveling is arguably the most popular Korean Manhwa, and thanks to its immense popularity and intriguing storyline, the Manhwa was picked up by the Japanese Studio A-1 Pictures for an Anime adaption.

The Anime is scheduled for January 2024, and an official trailer has already been released. Check it out below…

As per the information circulating, the Anime will be split into two Cours and might be listed with 24-26 episodes.

Bottom-Tier Character Tomozaki Season 2

Botton-Tier Character Tomozaki Season 2 is scheduled for January 2024. It is listed with 13 episodes.

Project No.9 is the official production team for the Anime.

As for the Dub release date of the second season, there is no information available as of now.

That being said, Crunchyroll Dub House is expected to take over the project to dub Bottom-Tier Character Tomozaki Season 2.

Attack on Titan aired for the first time on April 7, 2013, and now 10 years later, it has cemented itself as an Anime Phenomenon.

With the final episode of the last season that premiered this Sunday, the Anime adaptation of Attack on Titan Manga by Hajime Isayama has concluded in its entirety.

It is without any doubt one of the greatest TV shows ever made, and will undoubtedly go down in history as an all-time classic.

AOT (Shingeki no Kyojin) managed to win the hearts of millions of fans in such a short period of time, thanks to its astonishing story, and mind-altering plot, that would always keep fans at the edge of their seats.

Finally, the journey of three friends, Eren, Mikasa, and Armin comes to a close with the release of the final episode, titled, The Final Chapters (Part 2).

Thank you, Hajime Isamaya, Wit & Mappa Studio, the Voice Actors, and the all other Staff associated with Attack on Titan for this overwhelming journey of 10 years.

Mappa On Why They Over-Work Staff

Recently, Mappa Studio’s President, Manabu Otsuka revealed why they decided to overwork their staff, contributing to a horrible work environment.

Anime Studios like Ufotable and Kyoto Animation have already cemented their position for being the best in Animation Quality.

Manabu said, that to catch up to the quality of these Studios, Mappa decided to take a different approach.

He said Mappa’s project is to produce a lot of work and gain experience in a short period of time while maintaining a higher quality level.

Mappa wants to be in the race with the top studios as soon as possible. And for this to happen, he stated that productivity must be increased.

Hence, the President clearly implied that unless Mappa over-work their staff, there is no other way out for them to reach the top soon.

More disturbing news also came to light regarding Mappa recently. According to the Animators working there, it was revealed that Mappa made their animators sign an NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement).

As it stands, it appears working conditions at Mappa have only deteriorated over time and the staff have clearly reached a breaking point.

Zom 100 Anime Returns From Hiatus

Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead is set to make its return after the Anime went on a sudden indefinite hiatus after the premiere of episode 9.

The Anime will return on December 25th, Christmas Day, with the release of the remaining episodes (10, 11, 12) wrapping up this season.

Just like the previous episodes of Zom 100, you will be able to stream the remaining episodes on Crunchyroll, Hulu, and Netflix.
