Exploring Vasto Lorde Ichigo | Does This Form Comeback In Bleach TYBW?

Kurosaki Ichigo is the main protagonist of the Anime and Manga Series, Bleach, written and illustrated by Japanese Mangaka Tite Kubo. Throughout the course of the series, Ichigo undergoes several powerful transformations, and one of them is the Vaste Lorde Form.

Vasto Lorde Ichigo

After gaining the powers, Ichigo becomes a Soul Reaper tasked with the protection of the living world from evil spirits and creatures. His journey is filled with various battles, and amazing transformations, one of which is the Vaste Lorde Transformation where he undergoes full Hollowfication.

What Is Vaste Lorde Ichigo?

We all know that Ichigo was a partial hollow as well a full Hollow at one point in the Bleach series. Ichigo became a full hollow during his fight against Ulquiorra Cifer in Las Noches. We saw the complete Hollowfication of Ichigo where he gained an entirely different form. That particular form of Ichigo Kurosaki is known as the Vaste Lorde Form.

Vaste Lorde is basically the form Ichigo transforms into during his fight against Ulquiorra in Hueco Mundo. Vaste Lorde Form is the name of Ichigo’s Full Hollowfication. It is called Vaste Lorde because after gaining the powers from this transformation, Ichigo becomes the most powerful Hollow in Hueco Mundo while losing his sense of self and becoming a primal beast in the process.

Ulquiorra Cifer, the number 4th Espada who defeated Ichigo earlier quite easily got defeated at the hands of Vasto Lorde Form. Hence it’s fair to say that the battle against Ulquiorra and seeing Orihime in tears were the major triggers for Ichigo’s full Hollowfication.

Ulquiorra was the fourth strongest Hollow in Aizen’s Espada. Even though he is number four, he was one of the strongest Hollows in existence without any doubt.

Ulquiorra Cifer was one of the biggest hurdles for Ichigo to get across. During their fight, Ichigo was pushed to his limits forcing him to transform into an entirely new powerful hollow form where he would even lose his senses.

After seeing Orihime in danger, Ichigo lost control and finally underwent full Hollowfication for the first time in the series. The Vaste Lorde Transformation occurred in episode number 271 of the Bleach Anime. The Episode is titled, Ichigo Dies! Orhime’s Cry Of Sorrow.

Although Ichigo and Ulquiorra seemed evenly matched at the beginning of the battle, turns out the powerful Espada wasn’t even using half of his power. Ichigo wanted to take Orhime home who was kidnapped to Hueco Mundo by Ulquiorra under Aizen’s command.

Ulquiorra made him clear to Ichigo saying, if he wanted to save and free Orihime, he should first defeat him. As Ulquiorra was too powerful for Soul Reaper Ichigo, he started thinking that he must take on his Hollow powers to stand a chance.

In the meantime, Ulquiorra decides to take the fight outside to be able to use his full powers and put this fight to the death. He takes Ichigo above Las Noches in Hueco Mundo where he pierces him with a Cero which does severe damage to the Soul Reaper.

The Cero launched by Ulquiorra did severe damage and Ichigo was unable to stand. When Orihime tried to heal Ichigo, finally the Hollow within took over and awakened and he transformed into the Vaste Lorde Form, arguably the most powerful Hollow Form.

In the Vaste Lord Form, Ichigo was able to injure Ulquiorra severely to the point that he died of the injuries. Even his Recureccion powers were of no use to regenerate. Ichigo was totally unconscious during the battle and even Orihime was afraid of Ichigo after seeing him in such a terrifying form.

After defeating Ulquiorra, Vasto Lorde Ichigo lost consciousness. But soon after he became conscious but couldn’t remember whatever had happened when he was in the Vasto Lorde form.

Ulquiorra Cifer, who is the Espada with the best regenerative abilities out of all couldn’t regenerate after being injured from Ichigo’s attacks. This speaks volumes of how powerful Vasto Lorde Ichigo is when it comes to raw powers. Hence Vasto Lorde hollows are arguably the strongest hollow in Bleach.
