Konosuba Season 3 is officially set to return to your screens nearly six years after the second season. Fans have been patiently waiting for the Release Date of this iconic isekia anime for almost six years now.

Now the wait is over, as Konosuba has unveiled important details regarding the much anticipated third season of the Anime, including release date, new teasers and trailer, and new cast members.

The Social team of this legendary isekai anime dropped a teaser video for Season 3. The third season which is now destined to be released in 2024 along with the newest teaser video has sent waves of excitement among the Isekai Anime Lovers.

When is Konosuba Season 3 Release Date?

The Third Season of the widely popular and beloved Isekai Konosuba is set to release in 2024. The specifics of the release date of Konosuba Third Season are however still under wraps.

The big reveal of the upcoming season came during Kadokawa Sneaker Bunko’s 35th Anniversary Celebration.

During the fest, fans were provided with a sneak peek of a promotional clip that not only spoke of Konosuba’s Season 3 return but also introduced the fans with a fresh cast lineup.

Studio Deen who was responsible for the Adaptation of the first two seasons is no longer in charge of the third season. The newest season is set to be animated by Studio Drive.

Many of the original voice actors from Season 1 and 2 will reprise their respective roles. The newest addition to the voice acting department will see Kanon Takao, Yahagi Sayuri, and Reina Ueda.

Sayuri who is popularly known in the anime community for voicing Maho Hiyajou in Steins Gate will be playing Claire.

Reina Ueda who is best known for her roles as Kanade Tsuyuri in Demon Slayer will be taking on the role of Rain. Lastly, Kanao Takon who plays Hermit Mio in Edenz Zero will be voicing Iris in the upcoming Season 3.

The first couple of seasons of Konosuba didn’t have such a long gap between them. After the first season was released in 2016, the second installment of the Anime was released the following year, while also maintaining the same release schedule as the previous season.

Season 3 however has seen a long hiatus of six years. This is primarily due to factors such as changes in production, and the huge impact of Covid-19.

Konosuba Season 3 is set to resume right where it left off from Season 2’s cliffhanger. The story will follow Kazuma, Megumin, Aqua, and Darkness in their quest to overthrow the Demon King.

The Story of Konosuba originated from the light novel of the same name, written by a talented duo of writers, Natsume Akatsuki and Kurone Mishima.

Konosuba was originally serialized as a web novel on Shōsetsuka ni Narō between Dec 2012 – and Oct 2013. Later it was published as a printed light novel series by Kadokawa Shoten from October 2013 to May 2020, spanning a total of 17 volumes.

The first-ever anime adaptation of the Konosuba Story hit the screens in 2016. Since then, the Konosuba franchise has kept on getting bigger with its manga, movies, spin-offs, and games.
