Positive Signs From Season 1

Following the release of the highly anticipated Live Action adaptation of One Piece Anime, discussions about a potential Season 2 have gained momentum.

Netflix undertook the Adaptation of One Piece Live Action Season 1 and was directly under the supervision of Series Mangaka Eiichiro Oda.

The Eight Episodes First Season was released by Netflix in bulk on August 31. As of now, the Live Action Season 1 has received positive reviews and feedback. And this could be further motivation for the Production team to work on a sequel.

In a recent interview with the Media Magazine Variety, Peter Friedlander responded to the queries regarding the possibility of a sequel.

Although Peter refrained from making any premature commitments, he highlighted the significant roles of success and fan reception influencing the decision-making process.

Overall, he was optimistic and indicated that the prospects of the Adaptation of One Piece Live Action Season 2 are anything but bleak.

A Strong Partnership

Friedlander also went on to credit the collaborative partnership with author Eiichiro Oda. He stated that Oda’s involvement resulted in the finest possible adaptation of the One Piece Live Action.

He also highlighted the commitment to maintaining the original vision sparing any expense in the production process.

Learning from Past Experiences

Drawing parallels with previous adaptations like Cowboy Bebop which faced many challenges and backlashes, Friedlander acknowledged that it’s very hard to meet the expectations when it comes to Anime Live Action adaptations.
