The Time skip in Boruto is one of the most anticipated events in the history of the Boruto Manga Series. Ever since the drop of the first Boruto chapter and episode, it was clearly evident that a time skip was bound to happen.
On March 29, 2023, the Boruto: Naruto Next Generations went on a Hiatus. And as per our speculations, this Hiatus was necessary as the Anime was catching up on the source material at a faster rate.
Likewise, after the release of Chapter 80 of the Boruto Manga, even the Manga has to go on Hiatus for 3 months. This chapter had so many surprises and stakes. We saw how Sarada Uchiha awakened her mangekyou sharingan in this chapter.
The official manga team hasn’t provided any reasons why the Boruto Manga went to Hiatus. But we might have a clue. Recently a global popularity poll was held to determine the most popular Naruto character fans want to see in a short one-shot manga of his own.
Minato Namikaze, Naruto’s father, Boruto’s Grandfather, and the fourth Hokage of the Leaf came out on top of this popularity poll with a landslide victory. Masashi Kishimoto is supposedly taking a break from Boruto to deliver the fans the Minato one-shot manga which he promised during Naruto’s 20th Anniversary.
Now let us back get back to our original question. Who will train Boruto Uzumaki during the time skip?
Boruto is now a villain in his own story and even his family and closest friends have left his side. The only two persons unaffected by Eida’s powers were Sarada and Sumire. But after Sarada awakened her Mangekyou Sharingan and requested her father to Save Boruto with tears in her eyes, Sasuke decided to believe his daughter.
Now Sasuke is helping Boruto to escape from everyone who wants to kill him. Fans of the Boruto manga are very eager to know who will train the young uzumaki during the time skip.
Who Will Train Boruto During The Time Skip?
There are several theories and speculations regarding who could train Boruto during the time skip. Most fans believe it will be Sasuke who guides Boruto during this time and help him improve his skills.
Now that Sasuke Uchiha is on Boruto’s side along with Sarada and Sumire, him being the mentor of Boruto during the time skip is very likely. Keep in mind, Sasuke helping out Boruto and joining his side means, he has gone rogue yet again for the people of Konoha.
Boruto unlike Sarada doesn’t have the dream of becoming a Hokage. He always looked up to Sasuke and wanted to protect his family, friends, and village from a shadow just like Sasuke did. Therefore, Boruto training with the guy, whom he massively admires and respects makes sense.
While Sasuke is the most probable figure to be Boruto’s sensei during the time skip, there is a chance that someone like Kakashi could take on this responsibility as well.
All things being said, it is entirely possible that Boruto will train under someone new. The Boruto Manga has revealed many new characters over the years, most specifically the Otsutsuki Clan members.
And speaking of Otsutsuki, Momoshiki is the one who has been linked with Boruto for quite a while now. His ultimate goal is to take over Boruto. So there is a chance that Momoshiki might train Boruto during the time skip.
Will Sasuke Train Boruto During The Time Skip?
As we previously cleared above, there are several possibilities for who could be the mentor for Boruto during the time skip.
Still, Sasuke is the most likely candidate for the occasion. Sasuke is one of the most experienced and powerful shinobi in the Naruto verse and also has a good connection with Uzumaki Boruto.
He has also trained Boruto in the past and knows Boruto well than any other Shinobi in Konoha. Therefore, Sasuke could be the perfect mentor for Boruto in the upcoming time skip.
